Experience

Mark began his real estate career in 1977 as a residential sales person. In 1984 he started Copperwood Investments in order to concentrate on the commercial/industrial market and to market his strengths in sales, investments, and build-to-suit projects. The opportunity to offer his clients a more complete package of real estate services arose in 1993 with the acquisition of a construction company, Benson-Orth Associates. With a desire to concentrate on the portion of business most enjoyable, Mark transferred ownership of the construction company to an employee in 2009. He has been active in fundraising for local youth sports, Rotary, Zuhrah Shriners, Foundation Board for the Waconia Ridgeview Medical Center, and many other local causes.

Education

Born and raised in Minneapolis as the second oldest in a family of four boys, Mark graduated from Minnetonka High School in 1975, and married Joan in 1978. Joan and Mark are enjoying four grandkids every chance they get. They currently live west of Excelsior on Lake Minnetonka.

Interests

Mark enjoys car racing, flying, tennis, downhill skiing, travel, and his work (he really loves his work).
